SPEED SENSORS
With the optical sensor VLM500, web speeds of up to 50 m/s can be measured extremely precisely (measuring tolerance of up to 0,025%). Non-contact, ie wear-free and without affecting the web surface. And thanks to the new LED technology, there are no laser safety regulations to comply with.
Regardless of the material, the VLM500 measures lengths and speeds without contact and, with its extensive interfaces, can be optimally integrated into automation and quality assurance processes in a wide range of industries.
The VLM sensor works with white light LED and is therefore significantly easier to operate and maintain than some laser measuring devices.
VLM can be permanently integrated into process control or used as a mobile sensor for calibrating and monitoring existing measuring devices.
With the optional cleaning and cooling system, the VLM sensor can even be used in hot or dirty environments, such as in the headbox or drying section of a paper machine.
