- mechanical switches wear out and can also damage the edge of the web;
- The horizontal oscillation usually cannot be controlled sufficiently finely with a digital switch;
- Sophisticated measuring systems, in turn, cannot withstand the high environmental stress caused by temperature, humidity and pollution.
