Paper web breaks
The fiber-optic tear detectors from Sensorik Austria reliably report paper web tears even under harsh environmental conditions such as a drying group or press section of a paper machine. Decades of experience and the latest technologies go hand in hand to be able to offer tailor-made solutions with a long service life and a long service life for all areas of a paper machine. The quality of our sensors speaks for itself: They are used in over 200 paper machines worldwide.
CRANE COLLISION PROTECTION
If several overhead cranes travel on the same or adjacent tracks, it is necessary to exclude the risk of collision. The crane collision protection sensors detect from a distance of over 40 meters when there is another crane on their path. This means you can brake early and prevent a collision. The detection range does not decrease even under bad weather conditions. The practical thing: The sensors regularly monitor their own status. If an error is detected, the associated crane is stopped, but its counterpart continues to be safely distanced regardless.
Web edge sensors
Horizontal web guidance is of great importance for process and machine safety. With the special sensors from Sensorik Austria, this is also possible in high-temperature areas and without contact: The fiber-optic web edge sensors are available as limit switches or with an analog output signal for area monitoring.
Applications in potentially explosive environments
Fiber optic sensors can provide valuable services, particularly in potentially explosive “ATEX” environments. The optical light output of the sensor systems at the measuring point is too low to pose a risk of ignition. As a special feature, we also offer solutions for gas-tight environments.
SENSORS WITH BACKGROUND SCREENING
Conventional photo sensors can only energetically block out disturbing objects that are in the background of the measurement objects to be detected, ie by reducing the sensor sensitivity or range. This also reduces the power reserve for possible contamination, which is often not desired. We offer you special fiber-optic sensors with (geometric) background suppression that maintain their performance at 100% and are therefore sufficiently tolerant of contamination.
