PASSIVE SENSORS FOR DETECTING FOREIGN LIGHT SOURCES
The detection of light from independent light sources is important for a number of industrial processes: be it for detecting the presence of glowing metals or monitoring arcs, sparks or similar.
This is not possible with conventional photo sensors because they are designed to only evaluate the reflection of their own light pulses and to eliminate light from external light sources as a disruptive variable. Our passive sensor PHOTO 30 offers you a solution for such tasks.
RELIABLE DETECTION OF EXTERNAL LIGHT SOURCES
With our passive sensor PHOTO 30 We offer an industrial sensor for detecting independent light sources: the sensor in a compact metal housing evaluates received light independently of its source and switches when its intensity exceeds a switching threshold that can be set using a potentiometer.
The passive sensor can be equipped for the visible or near infrared range and is available with transistor or relay output; There are also versions with analog output (3-8V), which enable easy measurement of the luminous intensity of light sources.
PHOTO 30 can also be used with fiber optics, which can be supplied in lengths of up to 20 m and with different protective jackets or end sleeves (see fiber optics). This means that the passive sensor can e.g. B. can be used to detect the presence of red-hot metals.
